What is it?

An opportunity for people from many cultures to come together in a safe environment at the local library. It’s a space where people can learn, meet people from all around the world and hear someone share their culture. The Culture Cafe also offers people from non-English backgrounds the chance to develop language skills in a friendly and informal local space.

Who is it for?

Everyone is welcome.

When does it run?

First Wednesday in February, April, June, August, October and December from 9:30 – 11:30AM.

What is it?

A place to support new residents of Gladstone  to meet new friends, socialise,  relax, build supportive connections, and find out more about the services and facilities available within the region and feel welcomed in their community. Coffee and tea are provided.

Who is it for?

All local and new residents within the Gladstone area.

What is it?

The Flourish Festival celebrates community and culture through arts. It includes a cultural fashion parade, dances and performances, art and craft workshops, art exhibitions, photography competitions, and international food.

We hold Flourish Festivals in Gladstone and Biloela and partner with local individuals and groups to create a festival that is designed by and for our community. It’s a chance to embrace other cultures, take part in new experiences, and build connections with other local people.

Who is it for?

Everyone in the Gladstone and Biloela areas is invited to come along. We also welcome individuals and local community groups to get involved in planning and being part of the event.

When does it run?

*Flourish in Central Queensland dates for 2023 to be announced.
